Sydney had been thinking about starting a podcast for years. The idea lived in her notes app, in conversations over dinner with her husband, and in the back of her mind as something she'd love to do one day.
WHERE WE BEGAN…
As the founder of Altar & Toast, Sydney writes vows, speeches and love letters. She wanted to take those conversations beyond the wedding day, exploring what happens after the vows, the confetti and the perfect ceremony - when real life begins.
She had the concept and the words, but the technical side felt overwhelming. She was looking for someone to bounce ideas around with, guide her through the process and help her finally get the show out into the world.
She didn't need someone to come up with the idea. She needed someone beside her to help make it real.
THE PROJECT: SPOKEN FOR, THE PODCAST // THE SERVICE: CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT & LAUNCH STRATEGY, BRANDING & POST-PRODUCTION
WHAT WE CREATED.
Together, we shaped the concept and launch. I developed the podcast branding, cover art and social templates, creating an identity that felt connected to Altar & Toast while giving the show its own personality.
Through an extended version of my Guided Launch package, I partnered with Sydney to take Spoken For from an idea to a fully realised podcast in just 3 weeks.
Once Sydney hit record, I took care of editing and producing every episode, giving her the space to focus on her writing, voice and conversations without having to figure out the production side.
From first idea to finished season, I was there as her creative partner, sounding board and podcast producer.
WHERE WE LEFT OFF.
An idea Sydney had been contemplating for years became something she could finally see, hear and share, in just 3 weeks.
Together, we created more than a podcast launch. We created a body of work that captures Sydney's voice, ideas, humour and perspective, giving people a way to get to know the woman behind Altar & Toast beyond her client work.
A whole season of conversations that people can discover today, tomorrow or years from now.
The podcast didn't stay an idea she might make one day.
It got a name. A look. A voice. A season. And now it exists forever.
“You’re such a phenomenal collaborator, and I'm so grateful.
Working with you is the easiest yes - you bring structure, clarity, and real creative partnership. You make the whole process feel calm and professional, but still genuinely fun.
You’ve made this whole process feel doable, enjoyable, and so much better than I could’ve pulled off alone.”
Sydney Shannahan, Founder of Altar & Toast
“I loved how organised and in control you were of the whole process - exactly what I needed. It meant I could stay in the creative zone, knowing everything else was handled”
